Chaga has been in use by the Russians and native peoples of Siberia for centuries. It has been known as a herb and and as a source of healthy tea (drink). So, in the 1950-ies official scientific research about chaga has been launched by top research institutions.
So, Botanical Research Institute of USSR Academy of Sciences, Leningrad Medical Institute of USSR Academy of Sciences and its Clinical Hospital made research about chaga as botanical agent and about chaga effect on animals and patients with different form of cancer.
The main conclusion of the studies is that chaga has exhibited marked positive effects on animals and humans with cancers. Chaga likely worked through the strengthening of the patients immunity and inner body protective mechanisms.
